Mayfield is an established neighborhood in the city of Fredericksburg, convenient to downtown, a bus line, schools, churches, shopping, the hospital, and the park. The Davies Street Development is located 2.3 miles from Hugh Mercer Elementary School, 1.8 miles from Walker-Grant Middle School, and 2.2 miles from James Monroe High School.
We are building six 2 -3 bedroom, 911-1100 square feet homes, with parking, on lots of .10 - .20 acres. The homes feature an open floor plan, all new basics from plumbing and electrical to energy efficient LED lighting, LVP waterproof flooring, plush carpeting, and high-efficiency stainless-steel appliances. Solidly constructed on a crawl space that is heated and cooled and with 6-inch framing to provide extra insulation space, this home will be comfortable and energy efficient from season to season.
All of our new construction homes provide for Age-in-Place ability and are designed to meet American Disability Act standards. The homes will be conveniently located in the Canterbury section of Mayfield off Routes 2 and 17 in the City of Fredericksburg, just minutes from downtown, Interstate 95 and commuter rails, as well as major retail areas.
Our generous sponsors for the Davies Street Six provide financial and volunteer support of our effort to eliminate substandard housing. This endeavor reinforces and reflects community pride, teamwork, commitment and involvement. Moreover, your name on the house and all the publicity received will reflect your commitment to the community.
