You may be eligible to receive a state tax credit for your donation, because Habitat is a participant in the Neighborhood Assistance Program. Through this program, you can receive up to 65 percent of your donation's value back in state tax credits.
Individuals must donate at least $500 to Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity to be eligible for the Neighborhood Assistance Program. Donations must be made directly to Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity-- donations made to GFHFH through a third-party, such as Givio, are not eligible for the program.
