Are you or a current member of your household a veteran? You might qualify for our veteran home repair program.
Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity provides critical exterior home repair grants, limited roof repairs, and exterior accessibility modifications for eligible military veterans through its Veteran Repair program.

Eligibility criteria
- Must be a U.S. military veteran with an honorable or general discharge.
- The home must be the veteran's primary residence and cannot be a rental (must be owned).
- Household income must fall within low-to-moderate thresholds, depending on the specific grant.
Projects can include
- Porch / Deck
- Roof patch
- Ramp replace / repair (wood)
- Stair / Step boards
- Rails (wood / vinyl)
- Vinyl siding / trim
- Fence boards
- Refinish deck
- Gutters (based on inspection)
- Debris / brush removal
