Build Volunteering

How to Volunteer

Volunteering at the build site is a great opportunity to put your hands on a Habitat home, meet new people, and learn new skills, no experience necessary!

For individuals, follow the Individual Volunteers: Getting Started steps below.

For group volunteering, please refer to the following Group Volunteering section.

Individual Volunteers: Getting Started

Please note, the minimum age to volunteer is 16 years old.

New to volunteering? if you are an individual, please follow these steps.

  1. Check out the Volunteer Handbook for an idea of what volunteering at the Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity build sites is about.
  2. Register on our Galaxy Digital page.
  3. Once you register on Galaxy, you're on your way! Please give it a few days after you initially sign up, to allow our Volunteer Coordinator to process your informal background check.
