Here at Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity’s Poker Run, we’re filled with smiles, gratitude, and a deep sense of community spirit! Each year, this event brings together passionate supporters, dedicated volunteers, and generous sponsors who all share a common goal: to make a tangible difference in the lives of families in need. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has helped make this event possible, especially our incredible sponsors, whose unwavering support fuels our efforts and keeps the wheels turning.
A special shoutout goes to Michelle Wilson of Michelle Wilson Realty Group with Century 21 right here in Fredericksburg, VA. Michelle has always played a significant “hand” in our Poker Run, and her commitment to our cause truly makes a difference. Over the years, her enthusiasm, dedication, and genuine care have been instrumental in helping us reach new heights. Michelle’s involvement isn’t just about sponsorship; it’s about her passion for community service and her desire to see everyone in Fredericksburg thrive. Her support helps us continue building homes and hope for families who need it most.
Recently, I had the pleasure of speaking with Michelle, and her passion for helping Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity shines brightly in every word she shares. Her dedication is palpable—she genuinely cares about making a difference in people’s lives. Michelle’s enthusiasm is contagious, and her actions speak even louder than her words. Her commitment to our mission is a testament to her character and her belief in the power of community to create positive change.
This year marks Habitat for Humanity’s 17th Ride Virginia Poker Run, a milestone that highlights years of community effort and collaboration. We’re excited and proud to gear up for a day when Fredericksburg’s motorcycle enthusiasts, supporters, and neighbors come together to create lasting change. The event is more than just a ride; it’s a movement to provide sustainable, safe, and affordable housing to families who need it most. It’s about uniting our community, fostering collaboration, and making a real impact—one mile at a time.
As Michelle beautifully expressed, “Ride Virginia is more than just a ride — it’s a powerful tradition we started in 2008 to bring people together for a greater purpose. Through the rumble of engines and the spirit of the open road, we foster community, raise critical funds for Habitat for Humanity, and bring real awareness to the urgent need for safe, affordable housing. It’s about collaboration, compassion, and making a lasting impact — one mile at a time.”
Michelle, thank you for inspiring us all. Your dedication reminds us that through community, hard work, and shared vision, we can continue our mission—building homes, hope, and a stronger future for our neighbors. Your support fuels our passion and encourages us to keep pushing forward, making every effort count.
