Volunteer Update

Fredericksburg Area Builders ASsociation Service Day

On January 17th, Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity had the pleasure of FABA coming out and volunteering with us to honor the late President Jimmy Carter by updating one of the ReStore walls and constructed a standalone door for Jimmy Carter and First Lady Roslyn Carter, with each honored on one side. It was such an impactful project for our ReStore, our community and FABA always brings a wonderful spirit and dedicated volunteers. FABA is a group of area builders and associated company that work together to expand community objectives including, homeownership. The link to the full post is above in the title.

Community Outreach Update

Martin Luther King Jr Service Day at the Thurman Brisben Center

On Dr. Martin Luther King Service Day, Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity collaborated with various community organizations to serve the Thurman Brisben Center. A total of 94 volunteers completed nine projects, reflecting a meaningful community effort. The Thurman Brisben Center can support up to 60 persons staying within its halls. They run a skeleton crew and often need volunteers for special projects. Projects included updating the children’s media room, organizing the clothing shop and organizing the supply room for ease of use. Additionally, volunteers supported the effort with vision board creations. Special thanks were given to event organizers Charita Mariner, Dr. Elizabeth Freeman, and Dee White, along with staff and board members for their support. Link in the above title.

Make a BIG impact with a monthly gift

We are genuinely touched by our supporters who believe deeply enough in our mission to give on a regular basis. We would like to highlight our most recent acts of generousity, including donations from the Colonial Beach Moose Lodge, the Quantico Chaplains, and TAU Rho Chapter of Omega Psi Phi.

When you become a monthly donor, you join a special group of people dedicated to providing a hand-UP (NOT a hand-OUT!) to families who need safe, affordable housing.
Monthly donations make it easier for Habitat to plan long-term, budget more efficiently, and create more life-changing outcomes. These recurring contributions mean that our work continues, and more members of our community can attain a safe, affordable place to call home.

You're not limited to participating in just the monthly giving program - you can make a one-time donation at any time!

Why donate monthly?

Tailored to you

With small payments spread out month to month, it fits any budget. Even small amounts can make a big impact!

Hassle-free

Your donation occurs automatically each month. You can change the amount or cancel at any time.

Immediate impact, all year long

Monthly donors make a difference every day with reliable, ongoing donations.

Easy as 1-2-3!

Our mission

Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
