Mission

The Women Build Committee of Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity mobilizes, educates, and empowers women to address housing insecurity through hands-on construction, advocacy, and community engagement. Whether through donating, advocating, or volunteering, Women Build cultivates an inclusive environment where women develop skills, lead meaningful projects, and work in partnership with families to build safe, stable, and affordable homes.

Women Build is sponsoring the first home on Davies Street in 2026!

The Women Build Committee is actively fundraising to help fund the construction of the 2026 Women Build home on Davies Street. Community members can support their efforts by attending or sponsoring one of their upcoming events, making a donation, or getting involved with Women Build.

Heels & Hammers: The Power to Build is an elegant fundraising event benefiting Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity, hosted by Women Build. This event brings together community leaders, local businesses, advocates, and supporters for an evening focused on empowerment, impact, and building stronger futures for families in our region.

Hosted on September 26 at 5:30 PM at The Silk Mill in Fredericksburg, Heels & Hammers will blend purpose with style. Guests are invited to wear black and/or pink tie attire and enjoy an evening featuring a silent auction, hard hat contest, community connection, and meaningful fundraising for Habitat’s mission.
