Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity (Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, King George and Stafford) is looking for families of four to six people for several three-bedroom homes. To find out more, please attend an orientation on Wednesday, August 18 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. or Saturday, August 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Location is at the Bragg Hill Family Life Center at 400 Bragg Hill Drive, Fredericksburg, VA. Attendance at the orientation is required before you can submit an application.  What is Habitat for Humanity? The Fredericksburg Habitat operates in the City of Fredericksburg and the Counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania and King George. Habitat for Humanity charges no interest to the homeowner and makes no profit from building with our low-income families. Habitat has a large number of families in need, so we try to keep our building costs low by utilizing contributions, donated materials and volunteer labor. Donations come from individuals, churches, local businesses and corporations. Our volunteers come from every walk of life from school children, housewives, blue/white-collar workers, professionals to retirees. Habitat for Humanity is a Christian based ministry open to anybody who believes that everyone deserves a simple, decent and safe place to live and in our goal of eliminating poverty housing and homelessness in the Greater Fredericksburg area.
